The movie raked in ₹5.9 crore on the first day of its release and ₹7.4 crore on the following day. Article 370 raked in ₹9.50 crore nett in India on its third day, according to early estimates. Up to this point, the movie has amassed ₹22.8 crore in India. The film was produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar.

The movie delves into the themes of terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Yami portrays the character of an intelligence officer. The film trailer portrayed the rise of terrorism in the region, as radicals attempted to take over the area. Yami’s character has been granted full autonomy to undertake a mission in Kashmir after joining the NIA. The government has also pledged to abolish Article 370 at any expense.

In addition to Yami, the movie features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in prominent roles. The support for Article 370 comes from Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar’s banner B62 Studios. This drama is based on real events that influenced the destiny of Kashmir.

On August 5, 2019, the Central government revoked Article 370, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir, dividing it into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to a report by news agency PTI, PVR INOX Pictures announced that the movie is now being shown in 1,509 theatres, including strategically chosen major multiplexes and single screens to expand its audience, with additional theatres being included nationwide over the weekend.
