Poonam Pandey seen in public after rumours of her passing.

Poonam Pandey recently staged a hoax about her own death to bring attention to cervical cancer. On Thursday, she was seen in Mumbai.
Poonam Pandey was seen by the Mumbai paparazzi for the first time since she pretended to pass away. Footage posted on a paparazzi account on social media captures her wearing a salwar kameez and holding an arti thaali, appearing to approach the paparazzi after visiting a temple.
Poonam remained quiet but flashed a smile and struck a pose for the photographers as they called her name. Individuals on social media were not generous in their remarks. She was referred to as the sister of the Undertaker. One person wrote, “Deadman walking ki jagah Deadwomen walking,”  Others quoted the famous line from the popular movie Welcome,  “Arre dekho ye zinda hain (look she is alive)!”
Earlier this month, the news of Pandey’s “death” from the disease made waves in the headlines and sparked heated discussions on social media. It was later revealed that the news was false and was actually a publicity stunt orchestrated by the actor and her team to raise awareness about cervical cancer.

On February 3, Pandey shared a video on her official Instagram page where she expressed, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all “I am here, alive.”

“Cervical cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease,”  the 32-year-old individual stated.

“Unlike some other cancers, cervical cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease.

“Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take. Together, let’s strive to put an end to the devastating impact of the disease and bring #DeathToCervicalCancer,” she stated.
