Even though Anushka and Virat have not disclosed their location, rumours suggest that Anushka delivered Akaay in London. This has sparked curiosity among fans about whether their son will be a British citizen or an Indian citizen.
According to a report by Sports Tak, Akaay may not automatically receive British citizenship based on UK regulations, despite his reported birthplace in London. According to the report, a child born in the UK does not automatically receive British citizenship. A child can acquire British citizenship if one of their parents is a British citizen or has gained settled status after residing in the country for an extended period.
According to the report, despite owning a house in London, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s child will not be eligible for British citizenship even if born in the UK, and will retain Indian citizenship.
