According to a recent report, the filming of a new movie featuring Ranveer Singh called Shaktimaan is set to commence in May of next year. The director for this project will be Basil Joseph.

After his recent collaboration with Karan Johar in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Alia Bhatt, Singh is set to embark on an exciting journey of filming for his upcoming projects over the next two years. According to a report from Pinkvilla, the actor is not only preparing for Don 3 and Singham Again, but also for another major film, Shaktimaan. According to reports, Basil Joseph is said to be directing it.
According to the source, the filming of Don 3 will take place in both India and abroad, spanning a duration of seven months. The production is anticipated to conclude by March 2025, following which Ranveer Singh will be occupied with Shaktimaan starting May 2025. Following the release of Don 3, the next project in line is Shaktimaan. The film has been in development for over three years, and the team has finally crafted a script that truly honours the legacy of Shaktimaan. According to a source, the film will be directed by Basil Joseph, with Sony Pictures India and Sajid Nadiadwala serving as the producers, as reported by Pinkvilla.
During an Instagram live session in September 2023, Tovino Thomas dropped a hint about a potential collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Basil Joseph. Tovino enthusiastically went live to celebrate the exciting news that his film 2018 was announced as India’s official entry for the Oscars. Ranveer made an unexpected appearance during the live session, leaving a comment that said, “Love from Mumbai.”
Tovino noticed his comment and commended him. During this time, Tovino mentioned that he was in discussions with director Basil Joseph about Ranveer’s upcoming project, expressing his confidence that they would have a great working relationship. Despite keeping the details under wraps, the actor subtly suggested that Ranveer and Basil are teaming up for an upcoming project that will begin production in the near future.
Ranveer’s Singham Again is set to hit theatres in 2024, followed by the highly anticipated Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, which is slated for a big release in 2025. Additionally, fans can look forward to the release of Shaktimaan in 2026. Recently, there were also reports that Ranveer was in talks with various directors, considering a collaboration in the south and interested in working on a pan-Indian film.
