The romantic comedy, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, experienced a surge in numbers. However, according to a report by Sacnilk.com, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’s business suffered a setback on Thursday. The film’s earnings in India were approximately ₹3.25 crore nett, which is lower than the ₹6.75 crore nett it made on Wednesday. According to the portal, the film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon collected an estimated ₹44.6 crore nett in its opening week in India. The film starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor managed to earn ₹6.7 crore nett in India on its opening day.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya had an impressive opening weekend, with its highest collection at the domestic box office. Following a successful earning of ₹9.65 crore nett in India on Saturday, the film experienced a notable 11.4 percent increase, accumulating ₹10.75 crore on Sunday. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya collected ₹3.65 crore nett in India on Monday, and followed it up with ₹3.85 crore nett on Tuesday.
The romantic comedy featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon is brought to you by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. The film is written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, marking their directorial debuts.
Shahid Kapoor’s character in the film is Aryan, a robotics engineer who finds himself captivated by Sifra, a remarkable female robot with human-like appearance and behaviour. Kriti Sanon portrays the character of Sifra. Janhvi Kapoor makes a brief appearance in the film. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya also features esteemed actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia.
In an interview with PTI, Kriti Sanon expressed her fondness for love stories,”Love stories are my favourite genre but they are not made very often. The good ones are made even less because there are fewer conflicts these days. But this conflict (human falling in love with a robot) I never imagined. It’s quirky, different. What’s new is that this robot is close to a human but she is not. It makes you think ‘Is this going to happen one day?’ As an actor, it was exciting because I didn’t have a reference point. I didn’t know how I was going to do it till I actually did it.”
