Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have agreed on everything that needs to be done to complete their divorce. Last year, they said they were getting a divorce.
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have finally agreed on how to end their split. People magazine released a new file report on Friday that says the divorce case is being treated as an uncontested action. In Florida in November 2015, they got married. In July of last year, they said they were splitting up.
According to the story, both sides have shown up and “entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage… which is being or has been submitted to the court.” It is also said that Joe Manganiello has asked the court to stop paying spousal support to both parties. The papers show that the legal fees can be taken further by the next decision.
Sofia and Joe’s breakup was made public in a statement with Page Six. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.” Two days after the news came out, Joe filed for divorce, saying that he and his wife had irreconcilable differences.
At the beginning of last month, when she was promoting her new Netflix show Griselda, Sofia talked about why they broke up. She told the Spanish newspaper El Pais that she didn’t want to have kids when she was old. “My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore,” she said.
Manolo Gonzalez Vergara is Sofia’s son with her first husband, Joe Gonzalez. She was seen with orthopaedic surgeon Justin Saliman in October of last year, and they are said to be dating.
On the other hand, Joe officially began dating actor Caitlin O’Connor in December of last year. They stood for a picture together on the red carpet at the Children of Armenia Fund Gala at Cipriani in New York City.
