“He is 100% fine,” Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh says about his father’s health as the star is taken to the hospital with chest pain.

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty went to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday morning because he was having chest pain. India Today said that people who know the actor well said that he was feeling uneasy. He was then taken to the hospital and is currently getting care. Now his family has said that it was ‘a routine checkup.’
He told IndianExpress.com, “He (Mithun Chakraborty) is 100 percent fine and it’s a routine checkup.”
According to the news agency PTI, officials at the Kolkata hospital where Mithun is getting care said that the actor had an MRI and that other tests are being done right now.”Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted this morning and is undergoing medical evaluation. We will be able to provide further details later,” 

Around 10:30 am, the actor-turned-BJP politician was taken to the hospital. The MRI results are still being waited for. “The reports of the MRI are awaited. He is currently under the supervision of a neuromedicine specialist,” a hospital doctor told PTI. The star was in Kolkata making films for Shastri.
A Padma Award, the Padma Bhushan, was given to Mithun in January 2024. The last time we saw her was as a judge on the dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance, along with Mouni Roy, Subhashree Ganguly, Srabanti Chatterjee, and Puja Banerjee.

In an interview with ETimes last month, star Mimoh Chakraborty, Mithun’s son, talked about how happy he was about his father’s Padma Bhushan. He said,I have no words to describe this feeling of euphoria and joy. It is such an honour to feel this moment of pride… Dad is truly deserving of this award and I am so grateful to our government and institutions for honouring dad with this prestigious award. I am so grateful and full of joy right now. Touchwood.”

Mithun Chakraborty has been in about 350 Indian films in Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Bhojpuri, and Tamil, among others. He said he couldn’t believe it when he heard he was getting the Padma Bhushan.

The 73-year-old actor whose first role was in Mrinal Sen’s Mrigaya and whose career spanned more than 50 years said in a video message last month, “After a lot of struggle and hard work, I have finally received such an honour… It is a feeling I can’t express. I am dedicating this to all my fans in India and abroad, who have given me unconditional love.”

Mithun is one of the 17 people who won the Padma Bhushan this year.
