Google has recently introduced a new AI feature for Google Maps users, allowing them to explore and uncover new places with the assistance of Generative AI.
The model utilises LLMs (large language models) to examine over 200 million locations on Google Maps and provide recommendations based on your search criteria. The feature has the ability to recommend places in any specific category.
As an illustration,
Imagine you write “fun places in Toronto.”
The model would provide recommendations such as “Restaurants,” “Bowling Alleys,” “Go Karting,” and more. You may inquire further by asking about something adventurous.
The model will now provide you with additional examples, such as “Skiing”.
