Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring in the upcoming sequel to Sampath Nandi’s 2022 movie Odela Railway Station.
Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast in director Sampath Nandi’s upcoming film Odela 2, which is a sequel to his 2022 movie Odela Railway Station. The actor’s debut as Shiva Shakthi was unveiled on Friday, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.
Tamannaah shared her captivating first-look as Shiva Shakthi on Instagram. She shared the first look with the caption, “#FirstlookOdela2.” I am excited to share the first look on this special day of Maha Shivaratri. Har Har Mahadev! Wishing you a joyful Maha Shivaratri. (sic)” She appears completely different in the outfit as a naga sadhu, with long hair and holding a damarukam in one hand and a staff in the other. She wears a saffron bindi on her forehead. Strolling along the ghats of Kashi, she can be observed deep in prayer with her eyes shut.
Odela 2, just like the first one, is helmed by Ashok Teja and produced by Sampath Nandi. The film Odela Railway Station, released in 2022 on Aha, featured Hebah Patel as Radha, Pujita Ponnada as Spoorthi, Vasishta N Simha as Tirupati (Radha’s husband), and Sai Ronak as IPS officer Anudeep. The movie depicted the story of a serial killer who targets married women in a village named Odela, inspired by real events.
The film was recently announced and began filming in Kashi. D Madhu is overseeing the production of the film through Madhu Creations, while Sampath Nandi is handling it through Sampath Nandi Teamworks. Odela 2 focuses on the village, its culture, heritage, and traditions. The narrative revolves around a saviour named Odela Mallanna Swamy who safeguards the village from malevolent entities.
Hebah and Vasishta are set to return for the upcoming movie. Soundar Rajan S is the cinematographer for the film, with Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame handling the music composition. Rajeev Nair serves as the art director. Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy are also part of the film’s cast.
