Recent events have resulted in Vyjayanthimala being awarded the Padma Vibhushan, which is the second-highest civilian award in the country. On the evening before Republic Day, the Padma Awards 2024 were revealed.
It is possible to observe Prime Minister Modi greeting Vyjayanthimala with his hands folded in the first photo. At the same time, she is wrapping a shawl of a cream hue over him. During the meeting, she donned a saree that was cream and golden in colour. In another photograph, they were seen sitting together in a room while having a conversation.

She has just been conferred the Padma Vibhushan and is admired across India for her exemplary contribution to the world of Indian cinema.” Rescting to the post, a person wrote, “What a delightful encounter! Congrats to Vyjayanthimala ji on receiving the Padma Vibhushan, a well-deserved recognition for her remarkable contributions to Indian cinema.” Prime Minister Modi wrote in a post that accompanied the photographs.
Vyjayanthimala began her acting career at the age of 16 with the Tamil film Vaazhkai (1949). She made her first appearance in Hindi cinema with Bahar (1951). She made a significant impact with the romantic film Nagin (1954). Devdas, Sangam, Madhumanti, and Naya Daur are among the legendary films she has starred in. Her appearance was last noted in the 1970 film Ganwaar.
