Deepika Padukone appeared on the 77th BAFTA Film Awards in a stunning saree with golden and silver hues.

Deepika Padukone donned a stunning golden and silver-hued shimmery saree for the BAFTAs. She announced the winner of the Best Film Not in the English Language category.
Deepika Padukone, the renowned actress, graced the 77th BAFTA Film Awards 2024 on Sunday evening. She awarded actor Jonathan Glazer for The Zone Of Interest with the Best Film Not in the English Language. Aside from Jonathan Glazer, the other nominees in the category included 20 Days in Mariupol, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, and Society of the Snow.

Deepika donned a stunning golden and silver-hued shimmery saree adorned with intricate sequins work for the event. She coordinated it with a matching blouse featuring strappy sleeves. The actor chose to style their hair in a casual bun and wore eye-catching earrings.

Deepika confidently walked onto the stage as the audience erupted into applause, revealing the award. In India, the awards were live-streamed on Lionsgate Play. The event was held at the prestigious London Royal Festival Hall. Among the presenters were David Beckham, Dua Lipa, Cate Blanchett, Adjoa Andoh, Hugh Grant, and Lily Collins.

Prince William, Robert Downey Jr, Andrew Scott, Emma Stone, and Florence Pugh, along with other notable figures, graced the event with their presence. Following her high-profile appearance at the Oscars the previous year, Deepika was chosen to represent India as one of the presenters at the awards ceremony.

She was thrilled to be selected as a BAFTA Award presenter and shared her gratitude publicly. Deepika recently took to Instagram Stories to share a post with the caption “Gratitude.”

Oppenheimer received seven awards at the event, such as best picture, director, and actor. Poor Things received five awards, while The Zone of Interest took home three. Christopher Nolan secured his inaugural Best Director BAFTA for Oppenheimer, while Cillian Murphy clinched the best actor award.

Emma Stone received the award for her portrayal of the lively Bella Baxter in Poor Things, a visually stunning steampunk-style film that also won awards for its special effects, production design, makeup, hair and costumes.
