Rihanna has been hired to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding event in Jamnagar for a substantial fee.
Rihanna meant business when she sang ‘better have my money’ in 2015. The R&B artist is currently in India, specifically in Jamnagar, Gujarat, to entertain guests at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding event. As per a report by DailyMail, she is receiving a substantial payment for her performance at the glamorous event.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, Rihanna will be receiving £5 million ( ₹52 crore) for her performance at the wedding. According to the website, the celebrations reportedly amounted to a whopping £120 million, with £20 million spent on catering alone.
Rihanna was spotted arriving in Jamnagar with her partner A$AP Rocky, but her luggage made quite an entrance by arriving first and causing a stir. The publication also highlights that the Ambanis hired Beyonce to perform at Isha’s wedding in 2018, which came at a significant expense.
Many well-known celebrities are expected to attend the wedding, including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Rani Mukherjee, Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Atlee, Ayan Mukherji, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and more. The pre-wedding festivities began in Jamnagar on Thursday with a ‘anna seva’ where the couple and their families served food to many villagers. The event included providing meals to around 51,000 community members and is projected to last for multiple days. The celebrations will begin on Friday evening with an event called ‘An Evening in Everland.’ After Rihanna’s most recent performance at the 2023 Super Bowl while expecting, fans are eagerly anticipating videos from the event.
