Rihanna, the US-Barbados singer, has just landed in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. She was seen at the Jamnagar airport on Thursday evening.
Rihanna donned a black top and dark trousers while accessorising with a stylish bag. She proudly showed off her long blonde curls as well. Surrounded by her team and security, she travelled to the venue in a golf cart. Rihanna is set to perform a mix of her songs at the party.
The current event captivating India is a three-day pre-wedding celebration for Anant Ambani, 28, as he prepares to marry his long-time girlfriend Radhika Merchant, 29. The event kicks off on Friday, with 1,200 guests expected to attend in a township near Reliance’s main oil refinery in Gujarat’s western state of Jamnagar.
The wedding ceremony is scheduled for July, but the celebrations kicked off on Wednesday with Anant and his future spouse hosting a dinner for local villagers, serving 51,000 people.
Aside from pop and R&B sensation Rihanna, American magician David Blaine is set to perform, along with traditional ceremonies at a temple complex.
Anant’s pre-wedding celebration is expected to be graced by prominent figures like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg from Meta, Indian tycoons Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, along with several cricketers and Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, as per sources familiar with the arrangements who chose to remain anonymous. It is anticipated that Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, will also be present at the event. Disney recently revealed a $8.5 billion merger of its India media assets with Reliance’s.
Anant serves as a director in Reliance’s new energy division and is among the three children of Ambani set to inherit his business empire. The director at India’s Encore Healthcare is Merchant.
