Film Article 370 has grossed approximately ₹30 crore in India as of day 5.

Article 370’s box office numbers for day 5 are in: the movie raked in more than ₹3 crore in India on its fifth day. The cast of Article 370 includes Yami Gautam, Priyamani, and Arun Govil.
The film “Article 370” directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale was released worldwide on February 23. The box office collection for day 5 has been impressive. According to Sacnilk.com, Article 370 has generated close to ₹30 crore in India since its release. The lead role in the political-action drama is played by Yami Gautam.

The movie grossed ₹5.9 crore on the first day, ₹7.4 crore on the second day, ₹9.6 crore on the third day, and ₹3.25 crore on the fourth day. The film Article 370 has reportedly collected an additional ₹3.25 crore in India on its fifth day (first Tuesday), according to early estimates. As of now, the film has grossed ₹29.40 crore in India. The film was produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar.

Yami portrays the character of an intelligence officer named Zooni Haksar. Immersed in the picturesque setting of Jammu and Kashmir, the movie revolves around the significant repeal of Article 370, which provided special constitutional privileges to the former state. The film trailer portrayed the rise of terrorism in the region, as radicals attempted to take over the area.

Yami’s character has been granted full autonomy to undertake a mission in Kashmir after joining the NIA. The government has also pledged to abolish Article 370. In addition to Yami, the movie features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in prominent roles. Article 370 receives support from Jio Studios and B62 Studios, led by Aditya Dhar. This drama is based on real events that influenced the future of Kashmir.

Article 370 remains valid in Gulf countries

Following initial reports of the film being prohibited in Gulf countries, news agency ANI has clarified that it has not been banned. According to sources in a recent report, the film is currently awaiting certification in specific Gulf countries.

Yami expressed confidence on Monday that the cast and makers believed the film would be well-received by the audience. Sharing that the filmmakers were warned about the potential lack of interest in such films, the actor mentioned,”We were told that this film may not find success at the box office as viewers do not appreciate such subjects.”
