With its collection of six heart-warming love stories, the trailer offers a lot for romantics to delve into and explore, showcasing tales of triumph over adversity. The series will be available for streaming on the OTT platform on Valentine’s Day (February 14). In the opening of the trailer, Karan presents the stories to us, emphasising that love is not just a script, but the essence of life. Come along on a journey as we delve into the depths of true love through the perspective of authentic narratives. We are quickly introduced to six love stories that cover a wide range of topics, including age, divorce, sexuality, gender, caste, and even countries. “What’s a compelling love story without a healthy dose of conflict,” one person enthusiastically declares, while another holds the belief that love is primarily about understanding your partner.
Sharing the trailer, Karan expressed his sentiment on Instagram, emphasising the power of love and its ability to overshadow everything else. The series is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and conceptualised by Somen Mishra. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen serve as the executive producers. The stories are those highlighted on the India Love Project, a social media initiative led by Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman, who have extensive experience in the field. Akshay Indikar, the director of Raah Sangharsh Ki, Archana Phadke, who directed Faasley, Collin D’Cunha, known for Love Beyond Labels, Hardik Mehta, the director of A Unsuitable Girl, and Vivek Soni, known for Love On Air, have all contributed their directorial skills.
Love Storiyaan holds a deeper meaning for us, going beyond a mere recounting of real-life love stories. The series explores the many facets of love, capturing the essence of deep connections that transcend the ordinary,” Karan shared with PTI. “These are stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds who encountered significant obstacles in their pursuit of love. They demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience as they overcame cultural, religious, gender, and even wartime challenges,” he remarked. This marks his initial venture into presenting authentic narratives to viewers.
